Hilton Head Sail & Power Squadron
Chartered In 1988
Hilton Head Sail & Power Squadron is a unit of the United States Power Squadrons®, which is the world's largest non-profit boating organization. Our members are families who contribute to their communities by promoting safe boating on the water and in the classroom. We are located on Hilton Head Island, which is at the South-Eastern corner of South Carolina - 32º10'33.88"N, 80º46'22.88"W. The majority of our members live on the island, with some residing just over the bridges to the West in the town of Bluffton.
Boating Education
Members of our squadron enjoy more than 30 classroom and self-study courses in marine subjects ranging from Seamanship and Piloting to GPS and Celestial navigation.
Boating Activities
Cruises and rendezvous events highlight on-the-water activities and complement shore side events like dinner parties and educational programs. Enjoy friendship and camaraderie on-the-water and off, with fellow members who are skilled and knowledgeable in boating.
Community Service
Hilton Head Sail & Power Squadron offers boating safety courses to the public several times a year, in the spring and fall. Our members help the National Ocean Service keep nautical charts up-to-date with our cooperative charting program. And, we offer a vessel safety check program for boaters in our area.
Membership
Becoming a member of the Hilton Head Sail & Power Squadron requires passing a boating safety course taught by the squadron and being sponsored by a member of the squadron. For more information please contact us by email.
